Mr. Nitishwar Kumar belongs to the 1996 batch of UP cadre. He is presently posted as Additional Secretary & Financial Adviser in the Ministry of Women & Child Development. Prior to this, he served as Principal Secretary to Hon’ble LG J&K for 2 Years (Sep 2020-Sep 2022). He was also CEO of Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board for the same time period. He also headed the J & K Film Development Council and launched the new film policy for J & K in 2021. He has the experience of serving in departments of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation; Railways; Communications; Power; Renewable energy; Basic education etc. in the State of UP & Government of India. In the beginning of his career, he served in various districts of Uttar Pradesh as Collector & District Magistrate. Mr Kumar is also a Lyricist/Singer/Poet. He published a collection of poems called “KAH DO NA” which was the best seller at the time of its launch. He has directed a commercial regional movie- he wrote the story, screenplay and dialogues for the same movie. His songs have been released by T- Series. He takes part in literature festivals
